About Us

At Channah we work with you around the issues that affect your life adversely. We believe that when the underlying issues are being dealt with the desire to use drugs or alcohol will lessen; "Drugs are not usually the problem but are misused as a temporary answer"

We will help you find better answers which will benefit you throughout your life. We cannot wave a magic wand and "cure" you, but you can develop cognitive skills which will help you to stay addiction free and enjoy life.

We do not recognise or acknowledge drug addiction or alcoholism as a disease but, rather, as a socially learnt coping mechanism. A way of dealing with other things. If you are reading this then you will have realised that it is not a good way of dealing with your problems and are looking for a better way. CBT is a better way to get back to living your life without the millstone of addiction.

We will work with clients who misuse:

Alcohol, Heroin, Methamphetamine, Benzodiazepines, Cocaine, Crack, Cannabis, Ecstasy, Oxycodone, All other illegal drugs, Prescription drugs

Client Age: 16+

Course Duration:

The complete Channah programme is 28 days. This is the minimum time we recommend. However we will accept clients for a shorter period under special circumstances.

We also offer programmes of six, eight, or even twelve weeks. If you come from most Western countries you do not require a visa for the 28 day programme. For the longer programme we will arrange for you to get your visa renewed at the most accessible border. You will be accompanied by a member of staff. We will advise you on visa requirements based on your country of citizenship during your initial free consultation.

From a past client:

Not only did I find out that I had in fact done a lot of work in Thailand but also that most of the work was yet to be done! The past six weeks have been at times very difficult, as anger attacks, emotional outbursts and other jojo behaviour seem to appear out of nowhere. Surely, this cannot be a bad thing; plenty of scope here to “sit with the feelings”. So, rather than a “cure”, an end station on the road to healing from addiction, the month in Channah was more of a jumpstart for the long journey to recovery. And it was excellent. I am sober for five months today and I am not at all certain I could have done it without rehab in the jungle. Thanks for everything! Click here to read more testimonials
