Josie has worked in the social health care profession for almost 20 years beginning in
Nursing and Community Work experiencing working with a wide range of people in
a variety of settings from hospitals, residential and private homes. She
specialized in the field of addiction in 1996 and has since helped set up and
develop some of the most innovative, pioneering projects in the UK, including
the writing and facilitation of CBT based group programmes, award winning in
house prescribing services, and the creation of a unique specialist welfare harm
reduction service to festivals and dance events throughout the UK and Europe.
Her career spans all levels of addiction from street outreach to therapeutic communities and she
utilizes this extensive experience in the development of her training packages.
Josie has been training as part of her career for over 11 years, providing a
variety of tailor made packages for many organizations and individuals, these

Alcohol Awareness in safety critical work settings, Thailand.
Drug Awareness for students, in UK and Thailand.
Harm Reduction Strategies and treatment modalities, Thailand.

Drug awareness (Assessment and Appropriate first response) for Paramedics, Doctors and other
medical staff at events in the UK and Spain.
Alcohol Awareness in the workplace for local authority managers, Hackney, London.

Stress manangement and relaxation techniques, for management and staff teams
Josie is also a qualified holistic therapist and combines complimentary healing techniques she
has studied from around the world with her interpersonal and counselling skills
to offer clients the best chance to facilitate change in their lives.
Her Qualifications include a Diploma in Addiction Studies, Training for Trainers,
Certificates in Counselling Skills, motivational interviewing and brief
solution focused therapy,
BA(hons) Degree in Applied Community Studies
Diplomas in Anatomy, Physiology and Holistic Massage, Ayurvedic healing and Auriculor Acupuncture.
She is also a recently qualified Emergency Medical Technician.
She has traveled the world extensively and lived with many communities in both rural and urban
settings. She loves the sea and nature, singing, dancing and having fun, and
watching the potential of brilliance unfurl in all living things!
